Developing Feedstock Programs

We partner with agricultural out-growers, feedstock aggregators, commercial farmers, cooperatives, Agri processors to develop tailored, certifiable feedstock programs.

Why Feedstock?

Feedstock serves as the indispensable, carbon source and foundation of all bio products and biofuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). We are tapping into an abundance of unconstrained, non-food competing agricultural residues in Africa to drive local economic empowerment and sustainability.

How our Feedstock Programs work

We turn strategy into practice, demonstrated at our dedicated feedstock facility in Adeiso, Eastern Region, Ghana. Here, we execute end-to-end feedstock development, combining a specialised Feedstock Research Laboratory with key operations including residue preparation, upcycling and value addition, oilseed cold press / processing, with farmer onboarding and capacity building activities.

What a feedstock supply chain is

A robust feedstock supply chain acts as a versatile bio-economy engine. Raw materials gathered at the point of origin can be converted into immediate local energy solutions such as bio-briquettes, biomass fuels, and biochar, or processed into high-value bio-inputs for the cosmetics, chemical, and petrochemical industries.

Who's involved

Feedstock Producers

Finding feedstock solutions and opportunities to add value and upcycle, supported by Verifeed modules, offering direct access to offtake partners.

Aggregators

Working with grassroots initiatives and smaller players to enable collection and consolidate agricultural residue using Verifeed.

Feedsstock Converters

Securing offtake agreements, and managing logistics to ensure the timely arrival of high-quality feedstock required for industrial processing.

Offtakers

Sourcing certified feedstock that meets strict sustainability standards (e.g., RSB, ISCC), with verified chain-of-custody tracking and fully managed supply chain logistics.

Agricultural residue collection in the field

Collection & onboarding

It starts with the feedstock producers already producing residue as a byproduct of their harvest. AfriSAF onboards them into the network, mapping plots and setting up the collection points that residue moves through first.

Aggregators

We work with established aggregators of residues, or enable the aggregation of feedstock at grassroots level, ensuring scale up whilst preserving sustainable supply chains.

Processing & preparation

We work with partners that process agricultural feedstock. At their facilities, feedstock is prepared and upcycled into a consistent product.

Certification & traceability

Every batch is tracked back to its source, aligned to standards like RSB and ISCC, so buyers and certifiers get proof of origin instead of a claim. Verifeed is the platform running underneath this stage, and the certification bodies themselves sit on the Partners page.

Audit-ready records

Feedstock is just the beginning.

AfriSAF creates the framework, traceability, and scalable supply chains that allow agricultural partners, processors, and clean fuel producers to grow together.
